Broadway Affordable Housing Project

The Sonoma County Community Development Commission (CDC) working with a non-profit development partner, Satellite Affordable Housing Associates (SAHA) to implement an affordable housing project on a site owned by the CDC, located at 20269 Broadway.

This web page, which is jointly maintained by the City of Sonoma and the CDC, is intended to provide updated information about the project as it moves forward, the anticipated development process, upcoming meeting dates, and other issues. A "Frequently Asked Questions" piece regarding the project has been developed and is available for download under the "Resources" tab on the right, along with the RFP. Other materials will be posted under the Resources tab as they become available.

Status as of 02/03/17: At its regular meeting of February 9th, 2017, the Planning Commission will hold a public hearing to review, discuss, and provide direction on the scope of environmental review that will be required for the affordable housing development proposed for 20269 Broadway. The City has received correspondence suggesting that story poles should be required as part of the review of the project and that issue will be part of the Planning Commission discussion. The staff report for the item, which includes a draft initial study, is available for download under the "Resources" tab on the right. Planning Commission meetings begin at 6:30 p.m. and are held in the Community Meeting Room, located at 177 First Street West, Sonoma CA.
