The mission of Sonoma Sister Cities Association is to cultivate successful relationships and interpersonal understanding among the youth, adults and businesses of Sonoma Valley through adult and student exchange programs, cultural and social events, leadership programs, scholarships and donations.

The programs supported by Sonoma Sister Cities open doors to establishing meaningful and lasting global friendships, partnerships and connections. People to people relationships not only enhance our lives but represent our best hope for peace and prosperity in the future.

Sonoma's exchange program has facilitated the exchange of over one hundred students. Many official and unofficial delegations have traveled to our Sister Cities and delegations from our Sister Cities have visited Sonoma Valley. Professional exchanges have involved individuals from city governance as well as the medical, agricultural and public works sectors of our City.
