California Department of Public Health Implements 10 p.m. – 5 a.m. Curfew for Sonoma County

Posted on November 24, 2020

The California Department of Public Health (CDPH) issued a Limited Stay at Home Order or “curfew” that went into effect on Saturday, November 21st and remains in effect through December 21st for counties in the widespread (Purple) tier of the State’s Blueprint for a Safer Economy. As of November 24th, Sonoma County remains in the purple tier.

In summary, Californians are being asked to stay home between the hours of 10 PM and 5 AM, with some exceptions. You can go outside on your own or with members of your own household as long as you are not gathering with other households. You can also go out to do essential activities or if you are required to go out by law.

Non-essential businesses, those that are not defined as critical infrastructure, should end business operations at 10 PM. Essential work is permitted to continue and food and beverage takeout services are still permitted.
