Recreation Programs

The City of Sonoma does not directly provide recreation programs, but instead contracts with four local non-profit partner organizations to deliver core recreation and community services. Links to these and other local recreation providers are included below.

Youth Recreation Programs, Sports, & Camps

Baseball gameThe Boys & Girls Club of Sonoma Valley offers after-school and summer programs as well as a range of youth sports leagues.

The Sonoma Community Center provides classes and camps for children and teens. Download their summer class catalog.

The Sonoma Ecology Center offers a variety of programs that reach more than 1,300 local youth each year, including summer science camps, an EnviroLeader program, and a K-6 Watershed Education program.

Sonoma County Regional Parks offer a series of summer camps.

The Sebastiani Theatre offers performing arts camps and classes for youth, as well as on-demand online craft classes, dance classes, and juggling lessons.

Art, music, and dance classes, workshops and camps for youth and teens are offered by local organizations such as Art Escape , Sonoma Conservatory of Dance, and Valley Vibes, a youth orchestra open to K-12 students from all Sonoma Valley schools. Sport and fitness programs

Bocce gameBocce Sonoma organizes leagues that play in Depot Park.   Teams play Monday through Sunday approximately from the beginning of April until the end of October.

Classes

Sonoma Community Center classes include ceramics, printmaking, fiber arts, drawing, painting, and more. Download their summer class catalog.
