UPDATE: Potential Outage Map No Longer Includes City, Large Portions of Valley Still on “Watch”

Posted on September 24, 2019

Last night, PG&E updated their potential Public Safety Power Shutoff outage maps. The City of Sonoma is no longer shown as potential shut off for tonight, Tuesday, September 24th. Major portions of the Sonoma Valley are still included in a potential second de-energization event for Tuesday, September 24th. Maps of potentially impacted areas are available at http://www.pge.com/pspseventmap.

PG&E will continue to monitor conditions. Gusty winds and dry conditions, combined with heightened fire risk, are forecast in the next 18 to 24 hours and may impact electric service in portions of Butte, El Dorado, Lake, Napa, Nevada, Placer, Sonoma, Sutter and Yuba counties.

The City of Sonoma will continue to monitor the situation as we remain in Red Flag Warning status, and provide updates when available. The City is also prepared to assist Sonoma County in mutual aid as needed.
