The City of Sonoma has set a challenging goal of reaching “net zero greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 2030.” The Climate Action Commission (CAC) has been working closely with city staff to prepare the Climate Action Strategies, setting out a range of feasible measures designed to accomplish this objective. At the November 8, 2023, regular meeting, the CAC reviewed the draft Climate Action Strategies document and voted unanimously to recommend the City Council adopt the Climate Action Strategies document.

Sonoma City Council will consider the Climate Action Strategies at their January 17, 2024 meeting. The meeting begins at 6:00 p.m. View the meeting agenda, on our  CivicWeb portal..

The meeting will be held at City Council Chambers at 177 First St. West and viewed on channel 27 or the City’s CivicWeb portal. Those interested in participating can do so in person or virtually on Zoom. Find out how to participate in virtual meetings here.
