Community Services & Environment Commission

 The Community Services and Environment Commission advises the City Council on matters related to the preservation and enhancement of parks, recreational facilities, open space and the natural environment and reviews major Plaza Use applications.
The Community Services and Environment Commission is comprised of seven members and one alternate. Six of the members must be City residents.  See a current list of Community Services and Environment Commission Members.
It meets at 6:00 P.M. on the second Wednesday of each month in the City Council Chambers at 177 First Street West, Sonoma. See upcoming meetings, agendas and minutes on our CivicWeb Portal.

City of Sonoma Tree Committee

The role of the Tree Committee is to preserve and properly maintain both public and private trees within the City as set forth in Chapter 12.08 of the Sonoma Municipal Code. The Tree Committee meets once a month.

The Tree Committee consists of three members which include two members of the Community Services and Environment Commission, which are appointed by the chairperson of the commission; and one certified arborist appointed by the chairperson of the commission.
