The City of Sonoma is pleased to announce that the Draft Utilities and Public Services Element of the General Plan Update is now available for public review. Released on August 22, 2025, this draft element outlines goals, policies, and actions related to infrastructure, utilities, and community services that support Sonoma’s high quality of life. Key topics include:

- Water Supply and Distribution
- Wastewater Systems
- Stormwater and Drainage
- Solid Waste
- Schools, Libraries, and Community Facilities
Draft Elements Currently Available for Review
The following draft elements have been released and are open for public comment:
- Draft Local Economy Element (Released May 30, 2025) – Comments due September 19, 2025
- Draft Noise Element (Released June 19, 2025) – Comments due September 19, 2025
- Draft Circulation Element (Released July 3, 2025) – Comments due September 19, 2025
- Draft Conservation and Open Space Element (Released July 25, 2025) – Comments due September 19, 2025
- Draft Utilities and Public Services Element (Released August 22, 2025)
