67th Annual Memorial Day Observance & All-American Picnic

Join the Sonoma Valley community for the 67th Annual Sonoma Valley Joint Memorial Day Observance—a meaningful tribute honoring the nation’s fallen service members. This year’s ceremony will feature remarks by U.S. Congressman Mike Thompson, a Vietnam veteran and Purple Heart recipient, along with patriotic performances, ceremonial honors, and community reflections.
The program includes the Grand March of veterans, musical tributes by the Sonoma Hometown Band and guest vocalists, the official Color Guard and Rifle Salute, and a ceremonial flyover by the Sonoma Sky Park Aviators. Special readings, prayers, and proclamations will also be offered by local leaders and veterans.
Following the ceremony, all are invited to an “All-American Picnic” hosted by local Rotary Clubs and community volunteers, honoring veterans and continuing the day’s tradition of remembrance and fellowship.
This annual observance is organized by the Sonoma Veterans Memorial Park Association and supported by numerous community partners. It also marks the 20th anniversary of the Star of Honor fountain—a lasting symbol of courage and sacrifice.
