Annual Celebration of Mexican Independence Day & Hispanic Heritage Month

VIDA proudly presents the Annual Celebration of Mexican Independence Day & Hispanic Heritage Month at Sonoma Plaza on September 14, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM. This free, family-friendly festival brings the community together to honor the rich cultural heritage and patriotism of Mexican Independence Day.
The event will feature an authentic Flag Ceremony led by the Consulate General of Mexico, San Francisco, creating a truly immersive experience. Guests will enjoy spectacular cultural performances, including ballet folklórico, danza de los diablos, and live banda music, set in a vibrant and festive atmosphere.
Festivalgoers can indulge in authentic Mexican cuisine from 15+ food vendors, shop unique handmade goods at a mercadito pop-up market featuring 40+ local artisans, and explore a creative arts and crafts area for all ages. A special highlight of the event is the Low Rider Car Show, showcasing the craftsmanship and artistry of these iconic vehicles.
