Zero Waste Week in Sonoma

North Bay Zero Waste Week returns October 11–18, 2025 with free and low-cost events across Sonoma, Marin, and Napa counties. The week is all about learning new skills, building community, and creating healthy, low-waste habits that support our environment.
Here in Sonoma, residents can join in on several hands-on workshops and activities:
- Dyeing with Kitchen Scraps at SCC – Oct. 11, 3–5:30 p.m. (Registration required – waitlist)
- Compost Kraut Workshop at SCC – Oct. 15, 6–7:30 p.m. (Registration required)
- Upcycled T-Shirt Braided Rug Workshop at SCC – Oct. 16, 5:30–8:00 p.m. (Registration required)
- PRINT LAB: DIY Upcycled Patches at SCC – Oct. 17, 5:30–8:00 p.m. (Registration required)
- Tour Day at Napa Recycling & Composting Facility – Oct. 18, 9 a.m.–1 p.m. (Tours every 20 minutes; registration required)
