Zucchini Racecar Building Workshop FREE! 

Build, decorate and create your zucchini cars  for the Annual Zucchini Races that take place at the Tuesday Night Market on August 19th! BYOZ (Bring your own zucchini) and come get crazy decorating your mobile for your zuke!

Get guidance from Makers Camp specialist, Robert Van de Walle on best ways to construct your zucchini for speed.  His most recent creation is an award winning collaborative work called Trashlantis, a human-powered amphibious pedal car decorated as the lost city of trash found beneath the Great Pacific Garbage Patch so Robert knows mobile construction!

Supplies we will have:

•  Different wheels like recycled chair wheels, skateboard, CDs, toy cars on hand but PLEASE bring your wheels to ride. (Open for wheel donations for the workshop!Drop off at Sonoma Community Center main office)
• Recycled materials and art supplies such as Bottle caps, Barbies and Dolls, cloth, buttons, feathers, baubles, googly eyes and other treasures!

Supplies you bring:

• BYOZ! – Bring your own Zucchini that is no wider than 10’ wide ( See rules for entry below)
• Any personal decor, stuffed animals,wheels, cars or flair you would like to work with or share!
