Join the City of Sonoma and the Redwood Empire Food Bank for a Food and Funds Drive to help ensure that local families, children, and seniors have access to the nutritious food they need.
This convenient, drive-through event makes it easy to give — simply pull up to drop off your donation without leaving your car. Those who prefer to walk up and hand-deliver donations are also very welcome!
Even as CalFresh (SNAP) benefits are restored, thousands of Sonoma County residents continue to rely on the food bank for supplemental groceries and meals. In October alone, the Redwood Empire Food Bank welcomed more than 1,500 new families seeking assistance — and the need continues to grow.
Your contributions make a direct impact. Drop off non-perishable food or make a financial donation to support local hunger relief.
Most-needed items: canned tuna, canned chicken, peanut butter, rice, pasta, oats, dry beans, and low-sugar cereal.
Every dollar counts — for every $1 donated, the food bank can provide $3 worth of food to people in need.
More Ways to Help
There are many ways to support our community members experiencing food insecurity:
-
Support Local Relief Efforts: The Sonoma Valley Catalyst Fund has developed a donation resource page to connect residents with organizations providing food assistance and emergency relief.
-
Join “A Simple Gesture”: Sign up to donate a bag of groceries that goes directly into Sonoma’s local food distribution network — an easy and impactful way to help.
Together, we can help feed our neighbors and build a stronger, more resilient Sonoma.
