Many neighbors are facing uncertainty this month as some Californians who rely on CalFresh (SNAP) benefits are not receiving their usual assistance. We recognize the stress this causes for families and for the organizations working to meet rising demand. Here’s what’s available now, and how you can help.
Free Local Food Distributions (Sonoma Valley)
Redwood Empire Food Bank (REFB) is increasing services and continues regular distributions in Sonoma Valley, including sites such as Alta Madrone SAHA, St. Leo’s Church, Sonoma Creek Senior Housing, St. Andrew Church, Sonoma Valley Community Health Center, and El Verano School/FRC.

Resources for Immigrant Families
We understand that concerns about immigration enforcement may make some community members hesitant to seek help. The following organizations can provide information and support:
- North Bay Rapid Response Network
- Sonoma County Secure Families
- County of Sonoma – Support for Immigrant Communities
Community Resilience and Support
Many in our community are feeling the effects of these circumstances. Local organizations are stepping up to help, and trusted county and community partners are offering safe, confidential support for those in need.
For those not directly impacted, volunteering, donating, or sharing information about available services are meaningful ways to help. Together, these efforts strengthen Sonoma’s network of care and help ensure that everyone in our community has access to the resources they need.
