The City of Sonoma’s General Plan Update Task Force will meet on Monday, August 4, 2025, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the Emergency Operations Center at 175 First Street West.
The primary focus of this meeting will be to continue reviewing the Draft Circulation Element, which explores transportation networks and mobility within the city. This element is a key component of the General Plan Update and is now available on the General Plan Update website for public review.
New! Draft Conservation and Open Space Element Available for Review
In addition to the Draft Local Economy, Noise, and Circulation Elements, the Draft Conservation and Open Space Element has now been released for public review. This element addresses the protection of Sonoma’s natural resources, open spaces, and scenic character—core values of the community. While this element will not be discussed at the August 4 meeting, community members are encouraged to read the draft and provide input. The Task Force will review this element at a future meeting. Public Comment:
Community members are invited to attend the August 4 meeting in person and speak during the designated public comment period for any item on the agenda. Comments may also be submitted in advance using the online public comment form on the City’s CivicWeb portal. Please note: all comments not submitted ahead of time must be made in person during the meeting. Comments on the General Plan Update can also be submitted to generalplan@sonomacity.org.
