Environmental Compliance Analyst
The City of Sonoma is seeking a highly qualified, dynamic, and enthusiastic professional to serve as its Environmental Compliance Analyst. This key role in the Public Works Department supports the City’s commitment to environmental stewardship, regulatory compliance, and sustainable infrastructure.
As the Environmental Compliance Analyst, you will:
- Oversee administration of the City’s stormwater program and other environmental programs
- Develop and maintain geographic information systems (GIS)
- Manage asset inventories, maps, and technical reports to support public works operations and long-term planning
This position offers the opportunity to combine technical expertise with meaningful environmental work that directly benefits the community.
The Ideal Candidate
A typical candidate will hold a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) from an accredited college or university with major coursework in environmental science, physical science, civil engineering, geospatial technology, or a related field. Candidates should bring strong analytical skills, technical proficiency, and a commitment to environmental protection.

- Annual Salary Range: $90,397.49 – $109,878.71 DOE
