Sustainability Coordinator, Part-Time
Join the City of Sonoma Team as a Part-Time Sustainability Coordinator!
The City of Sonoma is seeking a highly qualified, dynamic, and enthusiastic professional to serve as its Part-Time Sustainability Coordinator. This role offers the opportunity to make a real impact by advancing the City’s climate action and sustainability goals.
As the Sustainability Coordinator, you will take the lead on projects that focus on:
- Implementing the City of Sonoma Climate Action Strategies
- Advancing waste minimization and recycling efforts
- Supporting the growth and maintenance of electric vehicle charging stations
This position performs professional-level work in the areas of climate change, environmental policy, and community sustainability initiatives.
The Ideal Candidate
A typical candidate will hold a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) from an accredited college or university with major coursework in environmental science, physical science, civil engineering, geospatial technology, or a related field. Strong communication skills, creativity, and a passion for sustainability are highly valued.
Position Details
- Status: Part-Time (20 hours per week)
- Hourly Range: $43.42 – $52.78 DOE
- Schedule: Flexible, with some evening meetings required
