The City of Sonoma is inviting qualified consultant teams to submit proposals to prepare a Plaza Park Master Plan for the Sonoma Plaza, a National Historic Landmark and the civic and cultural heart of our community.
The Master Plan will establish a long-term framework to guide preservation, community use, landscape design, maintenance, public safety, and financial sustainability of Plaza Park. The plan is intended to balance historic integrity with accessibility, sustainability, and evolving community needs, while supporting the Plaza’s role as a highly used public gathering space.
This planning effort will build upon recently completed technical studies, including a comprehensive topographic survey and tree inventory, as well as a forthcoming historic landscape survey. The resulting Master Plan will inform future decision-making and budgeting.
