The City of Sonoma is seeking qualified applicants to respond to a Request for Proposals (RFP) for the management and operation of an Extreme Weather Warming Center. This effort is designed to establish a nighttime low-barrier shelter, specifically catering to individuals experiencing homelessness during severe weather conditions.

The City of Sonoma is looking for qualified providers to operate a Severe Weather Shelter at Haven Shelter, located at 151 First Street West, offering overnight stays during extreme weather conditions. The 23-24 winter season is anticipated to have few winter season shelter options, prompting the City to create additional winter shelter capacity. The Extreme Weather Warming Center is not expected to provide social services but is intended as a life-saving intervention during severe weather events.
