Sewer Trunk Main Replacement Project Update from SVCSD

Posted on November 22, 2019

Please see the latest Project Update from the Sonoma Valley County Sanitation District (SVCSD), 11/19/19

The SVCSD Sewer Trunk Main Replacement Project is making good progress. Construction got under way in July of this year and the contractor is now installing the final 300 feet of 27-inch pipeline that is replacing the existing 21-inch pipeline that was constructed in 1958. Approximately 5,600 feet of new pipeline has been installed. The final portion of the pipeline is currently being installed in the 19000 block of Sonoma Highway between W. Napa Street and W. Spain Street.

Following completion of the pipeline installation, work will continue for the next two months as the contractor switches the existing pipeline system with the new system and completes other items related to the trunk main replacement. Repaving of the roadway in the construction area could be delayed until the spring of 2020 because warmer weather is required to meet temperature requirements for asphalt paving.
