Sounds of the Season – Holiday Music Series returns to the Plaza

The festive melodies of the holiday season are set to return to the heart of Sonoma Plaza with the Holiday Music Series, presented by Music In Place and proudly sponsored by the Sonoma Tourism Improvement District.

Starting December 1st and continuing throughout the month, locals and visitors alike are invited to experience the magic of live musical performances in a charming holiday setting. The series promises an array of genres and musical talents that will surely add a special touch to the season.

Performance Highlights:

December 1, 4:30 – 6:30 p.m. – Kris Strom and John Hoy Kick off the series with the dynamic duo of South Bay veteran saxophonist Kris Strom and extraordinary jazz guitarist John Hoy. They’ll present holiday favorites with a jazz twist during the “Hot Chocolate with Santa” event in downtown Sonoma.

December 9, 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. – ECHO Saxophone Quartet Experience the award-winning ECHO Saxophone Quartet as they showcase their unique takes on light classical music and holiday classics. Comprised of the finest young talent in classical saxophone, this quartet promises to delight the audience with their exceptional performance.

December 16, 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. – To Be Determined Stay tuned for a surprise act that will be announced soon!

December 17, 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. – Jackson Baker Trombone Quartet Prepare for a one-of-a-kind musical experience with the Jackson Baker Trombone Quartet. Featuring FOUR trombones, this ensemble will serenade the audience with holiday and classical tunes in a way you’ve never heard before.

December 23, 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. – Dan Gianola-Norris Brass Quartet Join SSU professor and trumpeter Dan Gianola-Norris, along with Alia Kuhnert, Rachel Aragaki, and Alicia Mastromonaco, as they form a majestic and splendid brass quartet. Immerse yourself in the sounds of the season with this talented ensemble.

December 30, 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. – To Be Announced The series concludes with a special act to be announced soon—ensuring a memorable and musical conclusion to the holiday festivities.
