Thank You Volunteers – Valley Cemetery Workday

A big thank you to the volunteers and City staff who joined us for the Valley Cemetery volunteer workday last weekend!

Even with a smaller crew, the group made a huge impact. Together they raked and cleared so many pine needles, branches, and leaves that they filled an entire debris bin — and had to order a second one to handle the rest! The results are already making the cemetery grounds look cleaner, safer, and more welcoming.

We’re grateful to everyone who gave their time and energy to care for this historic space. Your work is helping preserve Sonoma’s cemeteries as places of peace, remembrance, and community history.
