Caltrans has fully closed a section of State Route 12/121 in Schellville (just east of Eighth Street) for 30 days, October 1–31, 2025 to replace railings on the Arroyo Seco Bridge.
What this means for you:
- Expect delays – traffic on the first day of closure has already been heavy.
- All traffic is detoured via Napa Road and Eighth Street.
- If possible, plan extra travel time, adjust your route, or make non-time-sensitive trips outside of commute hours.
This is the first of two projects—Caltrans also plans to replace railings on the nearby Yellow Creek Bridge in late 2025 or early 2026.
