We wish to notify the community about an upcoming tree maintenance project at Depot Park in the City of Sonoma. Commencing on November 27, 2023, this project will be carried out by A Plus Tree Services, in collaboration with the City’s arborist. The arborist will assess the health and structural integrity of the trees during the operation. The main objective of this initiative is to protect the safety of the public and improve the health, aesthetics, and structure of the trees within the specified areas.

Project Details:

Start Date: 11/27/2023
Duration: Expected to take 4 days
Location: Depot Park, 201 First St. W
Specifics: The tree service will be:

  • Pruning Eucalyptus trees on the North side of the bocce ball and pétanque courts and at the north end of the Casa Grande Parking Lot to reduce both the height and spread of the canopies of these trees and to remove hazardous limbs and deadwood to improve the health, aesthetics, and structure of these trees.
  • Pruning two Callery Pear trees that are overhanging the Depot Museum building.

All trees will be evaluated for health and safety by the City arborist and if removal of any tree is necessary, additional notice will be provided.

We kindly request your cooperation and understanding during the course of this project. While efforts will be made to minimize disruption, certain areas may be temporarily closed for safety reasons. Your safety is our top priority, and we appreciate your patience and understanding.
