Construction of the City of Sonoma’s 2017 Street Rehabilitation and Water Services Replacement Project (project) will continue through November 2017. Weather permitting, the major construction work is expected to be completed before Thanksgiving.
This construction delay was due, in part, to the fires throughout Sonoma and Napa Counties. As the contractor for the project, Argonaut Constructors, Inc. will be returning to work starting with concrete demolition and replacement the week of Monday, November 6th, weather permitting. Existing asphalt concrete removal and replacement is expected to be completed the following week. Final striping is scheduled for Wednesday, November 22nd.
Remaining public improvements will take place along Avenue Del Oro (between Fifth Street East and Cordilleras Drive), Aureo Court, and El Nido Court. There will also be trench paving along Avenue Del Oro near the intersection at Appleton Way. Signs will be posted advising motorists of the work and road delays.
During construction, the impacted streets will be closed to through traffic. The streets will be open during mornings (before 8:00 AM), evenings (after 6:00 PM), and all day on weekends and holidays. Local residents will be allowed access during construction, and there may be delays. Access or egress to or from your property will be accommodated at all times. If you have any problems or need assistance to enter or leave your driveway, please contact our project manager (number provided below) or the on-site representative, and access will be provided as soon as possible.
During construction please use caution and obey all traffic control and signage. Work will take place between 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
