The Santa Rosa Police Department has released an update in the investigation of the in-custody death of Roderic Cameron on March 28, 2018. Read the update to the Sonoma PD In-Custody Death Investigation. Additional press releases will be posted when more information becomes available.
The Sonoma Police Department invoked the Fatal Incident Protocol and requested the Santa Rosa Police Department lead an independent investigation into the events that led up to Cameron’s death. The Santa Rosa Police Department’s Violent Crimes Investigations Unit is conducting the investigation into this incident. Investigators from the Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety and the Sonoma County District Attorney’s Office are assisting with the on-going investigation.
