The National Weather Service has issued a Cold Weather Advisory for our region, with overnight temperatures expected to fall into the low to mid 30s. The advisory is in effect from 1 a.m. to 9 a.m. Friday. While the advisory timeframe is limited, cold overnight temperatures are forecast for the next couple of nights. Conditions are being monitored closely, and while this is not an emergency, we encourage everyone to take simple steps to stay safe and prepared.
Remember the 4 Ps
- People – Check on neighbors, seniors, and anyone who may need extra help staying warm.
- Pets – Bring pets indoors or provide warm, dry shelter and ensure access to food and unfrozen water.
- Pipes – Protect exposed pipes from freezing.
- Plants – Cover or protect sensitive plants overnight.
