Commercial Cannabis Urgency Extension Ordinance & Required Report

Posted on October 3, 2018

An Urgency Ordinance extending the temporary moratorium on commercial cannabis activities, which would otherwise expire on November 5, 2018, will be considered at the October 22nd  City Council meeting.  California Government Code Section 65858(d) provides that at least ten days before expiration of an interim ordinance or any extension, the legislative body shall issue a written report describing the measures taken to alleviate the condition which led to adoption of the interim ordinance(s).  The City is posting this report which outlines the City’s efforts taken to consider cannabis activities and specifically commercial cannabis activities.  It can be viewed on the City’s Cannabis Key Initiative Page.
