Parks, Recreation & Open Space Commission Meeting

At its upcoming meeting, the Parks, Recreation, and Open Space Commission will consider the election of the 2025 Chair and Vice-Chair, review proposed tree removals at Depot Park and several private properties, and receive an update on the Sonoma Overlook Trail Rehabilitation Project. The Commission will also hear a presentation from LandCulture LLP on the 50% design for Olsen Park and receive city updates from the City Manager. Additionally, members will discuss ad hoc updates on trees and signage for the Overlook Trail and Montini Preserve.

The meeting will take place in City Council Chambers, 177 First St. West, and meetings are broadcast on Channel 27 and available for live streaming on the City’s CivicWeb portal. View the complete agenda detailing the items to be discussed will be posted to the CivicWeb portal .

Public Comment

Members of the public are encouraged to participate in Commission meetings by attending in person or submitting comments online through the public comment form on the City’s CivicWeb portal. Comments submitted in advance will be uploaded to the public correspondence folder on the CivicWeb portal for review prior to the meeting but will not be read aloud during the meeting.
