City of Sonoma Public Works crews have recently completed pouring the foundation for the enhanced crossing, known as Rapid Rectangular Flashing Beacons (RRFBs), located at Broadway and Clay Street. This work involved a series of tasks, including drilling holes, setting rebar, securing anchor bolts, and finally, pouring concrete for the foundations. The next phase will involve setting the poles, installing equipment and signage, and connecting everything to the solar panels at this particular location. Following the completion of this phase, the crews will move on to the other three locations on Broadway, including Malet Street, France/Andrieux Street, and Patten Street. The overall installation of all RRFBs is expected to be completed by Fall 2023.
