Harvest Market at Sonoma Garden Park

Earth Day is an annual event created to celebrate the planet’s environment. From wildflower hikes to creek cleanups and harvest markets, there are lots of ways to celebrate our special spot on the planet, the City of Sonoma!

Download the Sonoma County Wildflower Guide and see which varieties you can identify while you picnic and play at one of the City of Sonoma’s 14 parks, on a hike through Mountain CemeterySonoma Overlook and Montini Preserve Trails or while you are strolling or cycling on the City’s 4+ miles of Class I Bike Paths. Stock up on local produce at Sonoma Garden Park‘s Saturday Harvest Market and Seedling Swap on April 20th.

Those who wish to take part in a community event in honor of Earth Day can join the Sonoma Ecology Center’s Earth Day Celebration on Saturday, April 20th at nearby Larson Park, where events and activities for all ages will include games, food, a quick creek cleanup, and an in-depth look at proper recycling.  Another hands-on creek cleanup with Sonoma County Regional Parks will also be taking place on Saturday at Maxwell Farms Regional Park from 9am-12noon.
