Sonoma City Offices open by Appointment Only beginning Tuesday, January 18th through February 11th due to surge in COVID cases

Due to the recent surge in COVID-19 infections in Sonoma County, Sonoma City Hall will be open to the public by appointment only beginning Tuesday, January 18th until February 11, 2022, to protect members of the community and our employees by limiting person-to-person contact. We will be operating by phone and email during regular business hours, Monday – Thursday, 8:00 AM-noon, and 1:00 – 5:00 PM. City Hall

City Hall, including the Building & Planning counter, will be open by appointment only by calling City Hall at (707) 938-3681 beginning Tuesday, January 18, 2022. All visitors with an appointment must wear a medical-grade surgical mask, N95 or KN95. If a visitor does not have an appropriate face covering, a surgical mask will be provided.

City Hall service is also available by phone and email. City Hall phones will be answered during regular business hours (Monday through Thursday 8:00 AM-Noon and 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM). Some City Hall staff are working in their regular positions remotely. Find contact information here for City departments and services.  A payment dropbox has been installed near the entrance to City Hall (no cash payments please).

City of Sonoma Department of Public Works

Public Works offices at the Corporation Yard continue to be closed to the public for walk-in service. Issues such as downed trees, flooding, road hazards, and traffic sign or signal issues can be reported by calling Public Works at (707) 938-3332 or 24-hour dispatch at (707) 996-3601. Other issues or questions can be submitted to staff at (707) 938-3332 during business hours or by emailing publicworks@sonomacity.org.

Police and Fire

The Sonoma Fire Department has made minor modifications to service to ensure the safety of our public and our personnel, including the closure of fire stations to the public. The Police Department lobby remains open to walk-in visitors.

Fire Department staff can be reached at (707) 996-2102 for non-emergency matters during normal business hours. The Sonoma Police Department office can be reached during regular business hours, Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM at (707) 996-3602 for non-emergency matters.
