The City of Sonoma is currently seeking applications for the following positions on City of Sonoma or Regional commissions, committees, and boards:

- Sonoma Valley Groundwater Sustainability Agency Advisory Committee
- One Representative
- Advisory committee to the Sonoma Valley Groundwater Sustainability Agency Board of Directors
- One Representative
- Sonoma Valley Community Advisory Commission
- One Representative & One Alternate
- A joint advisory agency with representation from the County of Sonoma and the City of Sonoma to share responsibility for local planning in the Sonoma Valley. Members must be qualified elector in the City of Sonoma. The representative serves a four-year term.
- One Representative & One Alternate
- Sonoma County Library Commission
- One Representative
- A joint 11-member commission with representation from the Cities of Cloverdale, Cotati, Healdsburg, Petaluma, Rohnert Park, Santa Rosa, Sebastopol, and Sonoma, Town of Windsor, and the County of Sonoma. The City's representative must be a city resident and is appointed to a four-year term beginning August 1, 2024.
