Planning Commission
The Planning commission prepares, revises and implements the comprehensive long-term General Plan for the physical development of the City and surrounding areas. It conducts hearings and makes decisions and/or recommendations on a variety of land use applications.
The Planning Commission is comprised of seven members, six of which must be residents of the City. The Chair and Vice Chair must be City residents. See a current list of Planning Commission Members.
The commission meets at 6:00 p.m. on the third Thursday of each month at the City Council Chambers, 177 First Street West, Sonoma. See upcoming meetings, agendas and minutes on our CivicWeb Portal.
