Public Art in Sonoma

"Deer" by Gwynn Murrill, part of the 2018 "Natural Affinity" installation on Sonoma Plaza

The City of Sonoma is expanding its Public Art Program—an initiative that celebrates creativity, reflects our community’s identity, and activates public spaces through art. Guided by the City’s updated Public Art Policy (PDF), the program is administered with support from the Cultural and Fine Arts Commission.

Whether you're an artist, nonprofit, business, or community member with a creative vision, we invite you to be part of this exciting new chapter.

Sonoma’s Public Art Program supports:

  • Permanent and temporary installations
  • Community-driven art projects
  • Collaborations between artists and public agencies
