Sonoma City Party, August 2, 2018 - Sonoma Plaza
The Sonoma City Council and City of Sonoma is delighted to present the 22nd Annual Sonoma City Party. The City of Sonoma hosts this community party to bring our local community together for fun, festivities and to celebrate our special town. A long standing tradition, this unique event celebrates the rich history of Sonoma, its residents, businesses and non-profits. The event is free to attend and will be held at the Sonoma Plaza on Thursday, August 2, 2018, 6:00 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.
This year, we are excited to announce the National Anthem will be performed by the Everybody is a Star Choir and music performed by local bands, Straw Wattles, Wobbly World and Angie Byrd and Friends for a evening of dancing. Local food opportunities on the Plaza provided by local non-profits as a fundraising opportunities.
How to Enjoy the Sonoma City Party
Bring along your picnic blankets, folding camp tables and chairs, picnic supplies, warm clothing, a flashlight, dancing shoes and you’re all set!
This year's Sonoma City Party is excited to announce the following non-profits will be serving food and beverages at the event: Knights of Columbus will be serving Paella, Deli Sandwiches, Veggie Platters, St. Andrews Presbyterian Church will be serving Hot Dogs and Sausage Sandwiches, the Sonoma Valley Youth Soccer Association will be serving Spaghetti and the Soroptimist will be back again this year selling desserts. Food and Beverage proceeds go back to serve our local community be sure to purchase your food onsite.
The Native Sons of the Golden West will be pouring Lagunitus and Coors cold brew and AMVETS will be pouring Leese Fitch, Hwy 12, Gloria Ferrer, John Albini Family Vineyards, and Dirty Pond wines.
No unattended set-up prior to 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 2, 2018. Items left unattended will be removed. No roping off or barricading of sections in the Plaza, those who do this will be asked to take it down immediately.
You cannot bring household furniture (this includes dining tables, sofas and chairs), no barbecues of any kind, no candles, no tents or canopies, or aerosols of any kind, no pets allowed in the park.
As always, no smoking of any kind is allowed in the Plaza.
