Sort It Sonoma! Food Recovery Organization Requirements
State and local waste sorting requirements for edible food generators include:
- Maintain a record of the name, address, and contact information of each commercial edible food generator from which your organization or service collects.
- Track the quantity of edible food (in pounds) collected from each commercial edible food donor per month.
- If donated food is distributed to partner organizations or agencies, track the quantity of excess edible food (in pounds) transported or provided to each of those organizations or agencies per month
