The City of Sonoma recognizes individuals who make significant contributions to our community through several special honors and awards.
- Alcalde (Honorary Mayor) – Presented annually to a community member who has dedicated extraordinary time and energy to serving Sonoma.
- Treasure Artist – Recognizes an artist whose work has enriched the cultural fabric of Sonoma.
- Student Creative Artist Award – Celebrates a young artist demonstrating outstanding skills and dedication to the arts.
- Celebrate Sonoma – Honors community members with a City Council presentation and a dedicated day in their name.
In addition, the City’s Naming and Dedication Policy provides a formal process for recognizing individuals, groups, and historical contributions through the naming or dedication of City-owned facilities, landmarks, and infrastructure.
